About

I’m a Catholic who enjoys reading, writing, and baseball.  I’m active in my parish church and I write a weekly column on our faith for my local newspaper.  I’m not a theologian or a philosopher but I love thinking and talking about those things.

Judy, do you have a conversion story post on your blog? Also, I would like to read your thoughts on non-Catholic Christians dismissing the chapter of Luke, in regard to Mary. Is there a post that you can point me to on that as well? Thank you. Love your writings so much…

    Hello Judy,
I rarely get on the internet as we prefer to read The Holy BibleThe Good GOD led me to your site……thanks! How beautifully and truly you write…..thanks!…..us too, myself and my husband want a Requiem Mass; we do not know who you are, but we are thankful to Him Who led us to your writings…..
Have read few, especially about Our Precious LADY and the importance of praying the Holy Rosary. How true to use the Rosary as weapon against all evil; what a great weapon we possess, but our dear priest do not proclaim this truth enough! Yet, MARY is always available to intercede and awaits patiently for us to run to Her….if all Catholics only knew this!!! If all Catholics only prayed this magnificent prayer recalling the whole life of OUR PRECIOUS SAVIOR how peacefully wonderful would the world be…..our brothers and sisters in Siria, Iraq, Nigeria (boko haram), China, wherever Catholics Christians are attacked/hated for the faith, all would not be hurting….for sure The Holy Rosary is the weapon of our present time, and with this gracious weapon, we can also pray for and end of abortion, for the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony, for a president who will uphold the dignity of life as GOD only chooses, for our children, grandchildren and the conversion of all Christians into one Holy Catholic Mother Church….
After the Holy Rosar for peace, we could follow what Saint Augustine said in the City of God:” peace in the face of a grave wrong that could only be stopped by defense of one’s self, would be a sin….in essence, the pursuit of peace must include the option to preserve it in the long term…..such a war could jot be pre-emotive to restore peace”….and defend ourselves for the sake of peace and also to show that we are not scared and will not bow to terrorism….be bow only to HIM WHO died for us to give us a chance to salvation, if we, indeed choose HIM…..what a great gift we have…..let’s us not stop teaching it and let’s us love our enemies as HE said to do, but at the same time, let’s us also defend ourselves for the sake of peace…..
Centuries later, it was St Tommaso D’Aquino who used the authority of Saint Augustine to define the conditions under which a war would be just….

God bless you always along with those dear to your heart,
In JESUS, MARY, JOSEPH and The Holy Guardian Angels,
